Israel Will Stand Alone, Part 2: The Gathering Storm

It was in early 2019 that I wrote how I saw God’s prophetic timeline beginning to unfold for Israel—namely that Israel would become increasingly isolated and eventually stand entirely alone. This scenario, I believe, is God’s will for His covenant nation: not to trust in their own weapons or to make covenants with other nations, but to trust God fully and to know that He alone is their protector and redeemer. Ultimately, God will prove His love and faithfulness to His people and show them that He is their only Savior.

The Thessalonian church believed the tribulation had already begun, and considering the immense persecution they were experiencing, it is not surprising they thought so. However, Paul corrected them, saying, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The man of sin is also called “the lawless one.” Jesus said, “Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). While the world has seemingly been increasing in lawlessness, Jesus also said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

Yeshua said: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” (Matthew 12:25-26). Yeshua was speaking to the Jewish leaders in this verse, the Pharisees. But notice, He said, “every kingdom.” He was not just speaking of Israel.
