The Passover Seder Meal is the most ancient and beloved gathering of the Jewish people and commemorates their freedom from slavery. The word "seder" is the Hebrew word for “order”. The Passover meal is an ordered meal that recounts the story of the exodus from Egypt.

It has a great Messianic significance as well. The sacrificial blood of a lamb on the doorpost delivered the Jews from the Angel of Death, the tenth and final plague upon the Egyptians. This blood foreshadowed the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who would come to Jerusalem at Passover to fulfill the law of Moses.
